Whitehaven navigates new waters with two new models

Whitehaven Motor Yachts continues to expand its presence in the Australian boating market with two new game-changing models set to deliver greater choice to their discerning client base.

Co-owner of the business Bruce Scott identified “an opportunity for Whitehaven Motor Yachts to extend its luxury entertaining proposition into new boating occasions and lifestyles”. As the brand that prides itself on its client centric design approach, they have created two new models; the Harbour Classic 40 – suited to those seeking a spontaneous day boating experience, and the Coupe 6100 with Euro Edition Interior Styling – for the luxury superyacht inspired lifestyle aboard. “We have an innate understanding of our customers and feel that these new vessels will really resonate”.

The Harbour Classic 40, is a thoroughly modern take on a traditional design that encompasses sophisticated luxury whilst embodying a sense of freedom, fun and flirtation.

This 40ft vessel caters to a more intimate occasion where spontaneity is at the heart of a relaxed and simplified boating experience. Fitted with all the mod cons of boutique apartment living and the luxury finishes the market has come to expect of all Whitehaven vessels.

Exploring a whole new look and feel for the bespoke Australian brand, the design of the Harbour Classic nods to its retro automotive inspiration complete with a range of bold colour palettes such as peacock teal, burnt copper orange, and charcoal grey, all of which compliment the vanilla tone deckhouse.

The Harbour Classic 40 hull was first designed by respected NZ marine designer and qualified yacht builder Bill Upfold. It was then re-imagined from the deck up by Australian Naval Architect Misha Merzliakov. The first of this new model will in fact be the seventh hull and has a single engine with shaft drive and an extended roofline for maximum cockpit sun cover. Also well into construction is her sister vessel which features a twin engine with IPS drives configuration and the more classic shorter roofline, yet still offering a shaded cockpit through the clever installation of the a concealed retractable SureShade awning.

“We are excited about this new Harbour Classic 40 model and have great hopes that it will expand into an even wider range of sizes and styles into the future”.

For those dreaming of a superyacht experience, the Coupe 6100 with Euro Edition Interior Styling is the answer. This vessel is two new concepts in one – the new Coupe 6100 with its single level interior/exterior social zones and its sleek extended roofline for a fully shaded and enclosable cockpit; and the superyacht inspired Euro Edition Interior Design Package which focuses on mood-creating ambient lighting, premium materials and finishes and clever bespoke features designed purely to delight the senses.

This vessel delivers a level of custom finishing that truly sets it apart with luxury entertaining at the forefront of the design. Just one of the meticulously considered design elements is the custom cockpit table which sports backlit Corian detailing. It is complemented by tinted skylights and embedded LED lights that transform the ceiling expanse in this space into a beautiful focal point while also delivering mood control through lighting. Similarly, the master stateroom features a bespoke Corian headboard lighting installation which casts a soft and sensual glow around this owners retreat space.

The Whitehaven team deliver a truly bespoke product to their customers with a wide array of customisation and design options, from layouts to soft furnishings. By working closely with each customer, the client remains at the heart of this very special design journey.

“The beauty of building with Whitehaven is that owners can be as involved as they choose. You can buy a turn-key boat based on existing models, or our design team can guide clients through the customisation process to accommodate every item on the wish list that all experienced boat owners have, to deliver the ultimate vessel”. It is the ethos at the core of their proposition – ‘Your Journey, Your Whitehaven’

Both of these exciting new vessels will be officially launched in Sydney at the end of March and will then make their boat show debut at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.
