Sirocco Marine, bigger space, larger range at SCIBS

Sirocco Marine, Australia’s leading distributor of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBS), will return to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in 2019 with extended space and a larger range, as well as planning a massive BRIG Dock Party and a mammoth prize package up for grabs.

Exhibitors since 2005, Sirocco Marine North will present 30 RIBS spanning the BRIG, Williams and Sirocco brands, including the Williams Minijet 280 and Williams Turbojet 325, and the all-new BRIG Eagle 8, Eagle 6 and Eagle 5.

Much more than face-lifted, the latest BRIG models have been created from all new moulds and represent the evolution of their category based on owner feedback gathered from all parts of the world.

Slotting neatly into the BRIG line-up just below the impressive flagship Eagle 10, the Eagle 8 has a length of 8m, beam of 2.9m and boasts an efficient deep-V hull for unparalleled sea-keeping, outhandling and out performing everything in its class.

BRIG’S new go-anywhere cruiser will captivate devotees of the brand and a new generation of boaties looking for myriad features as standard and a sociable layout with room for up to 11 people comfortably on board.

Powered by the acclaimed Yamaha 300hp four-stroke engine, delivering phenomenal grip and speed past 50 knots!

The 10.2m Eagle 10 is the ultimate RIB cruiser. With a capacity up to 20 people, its versatility means it’s perfect for family fun, as an island hopper, luxury boat tender, chase boat, aquatic sport platform, weekender and more.

The Eagle 10 boasts a deep-V-hull that ensures a dry, smooth ride. It’s more stable, lightweight and low-maintenance than its hard-sided counterparts, and it’s virtually unsinkable due to the Hypalon tubes and their buoyancy and durability.

Features include comfortable seats, a convertible table and sun deck, a sink unit that can accommodate a fridge/stove, a convenient stern swim platform with folding ladder and outdoor shower kit, plus a well-appointed cabin complete with double bed. And with a top speed of close to 60 knots, its grunt matches its good looks.

For 30 years, the BRIG range of “Rigid Intelligent Boats” has been entirely designed and built in Europe by an expert team, including ex-military aeronautical engineers.

BRIG is the highest selling RIB brand across Europe, and the number one brand in Australia, Sweden, Holland, Finland and the UK.

All BRIG boats are made using top quality materials including superior ORCA Hypalon from France (not PVC), Italian steering wheels, fiberglass hulls and Silvertex UV and water-resistant upholstery fabrics from the UK.

With 26 models in the range, BRIG has a RIB for every on-water application.

As Sirocco Marine Managing Director, Neil Webster explained: “Our customers in Australia and the US tell us the product is superb quality, a great price, great performance, support and service that are second to none – BRIG ticks all the boxes.”

Director of Sirocco Marine North, Dylan Lopez is planning to “go huge” at SCIBS 2019.

“We are planning our largest ever display and a brilliant promotion where one lucky visitor can win a 3.1m Air Hull Sirocco RIB.

“Simply drop by our stand, pick up a BRIG hat and snap a photo in front of our BRIG media wall. Upload your pic to our Facebook page with #BRIGQLD and your comments, and the winner will be announced on Sunday at 2pm.”

Still under wraps, the BRIG Dock Party is shaping up to be an epic event, with a great mix of VIPS, owners and guests, plenty of food and beverages, plus a rocking band getting SCIBS started right on the Thursday night.

“Follow us on Facebook for details about the BRIG Dock Party and how you can join us in the BRIGest event of the year!” said Dylan.
