Sealegs Amphibious Craft for local Fishos

Sealegs has announced the release of the most cost-effective amphibious fishing boat, the Sealegs 6.1m Alloy, for the New Zealand and Australian markets.

Placing fishability and efficient production at the forefront, the new design provides a robust platform, and makes coastal fishing less hassle, and more fun than ever before.

The Sealegs 6.1m Alloy amphibious is highly configurable to suit the requirements of the end-user resulting in boat and outboard packages starting from just $149,500. Sealegs Technology upgrades are provided as options so that customers may choose to add All Wheel Drive, Power Steering, or Extended Run Time, thereby keeping the cost of production low, along with the drive away price.

Onboard, the craft has more deck space than any other amphibious boat of a similar size, with the helm and inboard engine cleverly integrated further forward, aft is ample room for several to fish from, 9 rod holders, and seating for four around a redesigned engine box.

Sealegs CEO David McKee Wright, said of the latest release, “The 6.1m Alloy presents a highly practical amphibious fishing solution for those who those who no longer have the time, inclination, or ability for traditional trailer boat launching. This craft will allow more owners the freedom to go boating on their own terms, and initial sales indicate it has struck a chord with many.”

Available with a rigid folding targa, live bait tank, bait station and a selection of other options, demand for the new model has been strong since its initial presentation to Sealegs enthusiasts in early October.
