A bigger, better, boatier time for all

A bigger, better, boatier time for all

It’s that time of year again – when boating and fishing enthusiasts make their way from the sea to the city for Victoria’s largest and premier boat show.

Celebrating it’s 59th year, the RACV Marine Melbourne Boat Show is back, from 13th – 16th June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and it’s BIGGER, BETTER and BOATIER than ever.

Owned and organised by the Boating Industry Association of Victoria and widely regarded as Victoria’s premier boating event, the RACV Marine sponsored show is an annual reminder of the positive and rewarding lifestyle that boating provides.

This year the show is set to make even bigger waves with exhibitor floor space fully occupied and tens of thousands of people expected to attend the event over four days.

With a range of demonstrations, huge prize giveaways and over 100 exhibits, the show will feature the latest models of boats of every kind. From wake and ski boats, to tinnies, kayaks and top end luxury cruisers, whatever boat you float, you’ll find it docked at the show.

There’ll be hundreds of engines, accessories and lifestyle related equipment, plus an impressive line-up of national and international stars of the boating and fishing world, including a special appearance from USA Wicked Tuna star, Dave Marciano.

Stars from the world of food and football will also be making stage appearances. Brownlow Medal winner Patrick Dangerfield will take to the stage to talk about his exciting off-field sea adventures, while executive chef of The Atlantic restaurant, Nick Mahlook will be there demonstrating how to cook the best seafood cuisines.

There’s plenty of fun for the whole family too, with an 8m high Zip Line whizzing across the hall, boat licence testing and fishing simulators featuring enormous Marlin ready to catch hook, line and simulated-sinker. Or take a wild ride over the world’s steepest four-wheel-drive ramp, the Isuzu UTE Iron Summit, and see the boat show from a completely different angle.

Plus, bigger and better yet, all visitors get the chance to take home the biggest Grand Prize Draw in the show’s history. Ticket holders who register online or at the door will be entered into the draw to win a Volkswagen Amarok V6 Sportline or a Northbank 500C boat package, with both prizes valued at over $50k each*.

The draw will be randomly narrowed down to eight finalists who will participate in a game of chance on the last day of the show to determine the two lucky grand prize winners.
