Wyndham Harbour development - Coastal works and marine infrastructures

In a Victorian Notice to Mariners issued at Melbourne, 23 July 2012 Australia – Victoria No. 106T-2012

Port of Port Phillip  Werribee South. Date: Immediate to 30 Jan 2014

Mariners are advised of development works for Wyndham Harbour to provide a marina and safe boat harbour facility on the western side of Port Phillip Bay located approximately one kilometre east of the mouth of Werribee River.

Development works will consist of the construction of new breakwaters, dredging of marina basin, coastal revetment walls, groyne construction, installation of berthing facilities and construction of new beach.

Perimeter of the construction area is marked with temporary yellow buoys placed at approximately 200 meters intervals.

Land-based and marine plant and equipment will be operating during the day. All floating plant and equipment will be anchored at night within the marked construction zone.

On-water plant, equipment or potential hazards to navigation will be marked with yellow flashing lights from sunset to sunrise as per IALA standards.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating within the vicinity of the works.
