Stingray Boats will launch its latest seven-seater bowrider at this year’s third annual Melbourne Leisurefest at the end of September, combining economy, performance and style in a single compact package.
The luxurious 180RX 18-footer is capable of nudging 80kph with its fuel sipping Volvo Penta four-cylinder petrol motor and patented “Z” plane hull.
This is the first of this model in Australia and comes as a special Leisurefest launch package with many options included for just $37,500 on the road.
Standard equipment includes remote tilt and trim for easy launch and retrieve, wake board tower, four-blade stainless steel prop, hi/lo bimini, stereo, full covers and EZ- Loader trailer with hydraulic brakes and swing-away draw bar.
Stingray Boats, built in South Carolina, are designed for maximum hull efficiency to allow smaller, lighter engines to perform the same tasks as much heavier units.
The completely redesigned 180RX bowrider is built with the price conscious boater in mind, but has many luxury touches such as power steering plus plenty of storage including a bow cooler, cup holders and a massive floor compartment with oversize door for large items and easy access.
It has twin adjustable bucket seats plus a full-width aft bench and large sundeck in addition to the bow seats, plus stylish carbon fibre-look trim.
Powering the 180RX is the smooth and fuel-efficient four-cylinder Volvo Penta 3.0-liter GL SX sterndrive delivering 135 hp for a top speed nudging 80 km/h.
Look for the Stingray 180RX on stand 105D at Melbourne Leisurefest, proudly sponsored by Dometic Group, which runs from Thursday 30 September to Sunday 3 October at Sandown Racecourse, Springvale, from 10am to 5pm daily.
Developed from the RV & Camping Leisurefest, it is a joint venture by the Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Victoria (CTIAV), Boating Industry Association (BIA) of Victoria and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC).
