Remanufactured Engines with Double Security

13 August 2010

Mercury Marine has again lifted the bar when it comes to remanufactured engines, with the release of its two latest offerings:

•    The 383 Stroker – a 6.2 litre, 350 hp EFI

•    The 357 Mag – a 325 hp, 5.7 litre carb

“These are great engines and they are a perfect option for so many boat owners around Australia,” said Peter Massina, Mercury Marine’s Aftermarket Sales Manager. “If you’ve got an old, tired V8 then this is the ideal way for you to upgrade.”

Virtually new

What makes these engines really stand out though is the fact that so much is brand new. “Really, only the long block itself has been remanufactured,” Peter said. “All the ancillary equipment – the fuel system, the ignition system, the drive, transom and manifold – are all brand new.” Like all Mercury Remanufactured engines these both have a 12 month warranty. “Your boat gets a new lease of life, it’s easy on the hip pocket and you have double security – a raft of brand new parts and a one year warranty,” Peter said. “How do you beat that?”

RRPs (inc GST)

•    383 Stroker A$15,317 (bobtail) or A$22,846 for engine, drive and transom package
•    357 Mag     A$10,785 (bobtail) or A$18,957 for engine, drive and transom package

Components from Mercury Remanufacturing are factory rebuilt to original OEM marine performance specifications and are covered by a 12 month parts and labour warranty.
