Mustang reveal 430 Sports Coupe to New Zealand market

2 March 2010

Mustangs new 430 Sports Coupe will cruise into New Zealand waters for the first time and will debut at the Auckland International Boat Show in March.
Having been launched in Australia in 2009, the 430 Sports Coupe received the prestigious award of ‘Boat of the Year”. The 430 Sports Coupe is the result of Mustangs talented research and development team based on the Gold Coast, Australia.

“Extensive research went into the 430 Sports Coupe. The team leveraged the proven performance and sea-keeping ability of the M43 Sports Flybridge hull and adapted it to incorporate amazing features and provide a strong focus on entertaining.” Said Chris Heaton, CEO of Mustang Marine.

Inspired by European design Mustang’s 430 Sports Coupé has indoor and outdoor living areas on a single level allowing for 360 degree views of the great outdoors. This new design sees the cockpit, lounge, galley and helm areas located on one level keeping family and friends together on one integrated entertaining deck, while sleeping quarters and bathrooms remain below deck.

The new design combines the proven hull design of the Sports Flybridge range with a newly developed deck and interior layout resulting in fresh styling with good sea-keeping performance capabilities. Once again, Mustang Marine has used Volvo Penta’s IPS technology, which the company has embraced since 2006, with standard twin 435hp IPS600 engines or there is the option of twin 480hp Cummins Zeus Diesel engines. The drives are fitted as standard equipment including the all important Joystick Docking System.

The Sports Coupé series has begun with the release of the 430 with the 500 Sports Coupe to be released later in 2010. The Mustang 430 Sports Coupé also features the ideal entertaining area including large hydraulic swim platform with a spacious boot and integrated BBQ station, large cockpit with lounge, table and wet bar. Fully glazed sliding bi-fold entrance doors lead in to the indoor living areas featuring a fully equipped starboard galley with opening window to the cockpit, running forward to the extensive helm station while a bar, lounge and dining area opens up to port. Full glazing provides the vessel with natural light while the air-conditioned hardtop provides protection from the elements.

Mustang’s efficient use of space has allowed for 2 layout options below deck; 2-cabin, 1bathroom; or an optional 3-cabin, 2 bathroom configuration providing comfortable accommodations for up to 8 people. In addition to the 430 Sports Coupe Mustang will also showcase their brilliant Sports
Flybridge range at the Auckland International Show. The M43, M41 and M37 Sports Flybridges will all be on display for inspection.
