New Greek Island and Turkish Coast Rallies
The popular ‘rally program’ will feature two new destinations for 2011. The Greek Islands of the Ionian Sea including Levkas, Ithaka, Kefallonia, Zakinthos and Corfu will add a different version of Greece to the experience of those who have already sailed the Aegean Sea.
 
The Lycian coast of Turkey from Marmaris to Finike with a land connection to Antalya offers many protected harbours along the way, plus the Greek Island of Kastellorezo just off the Turkish coast near the town of Kas. Pre and post-rally tours can include an overland trip from Istanbul to Marmaris and a visit to Cappadocia in central Anatolia.

Both of these rallies are in September.

Phuket to Langkawi Yacht Rally in January
The first rally in January 2011 will sail from Phuket to Langkawi through the islands of the Andaman Sea and include Tarutao and the Bhutang group, which are actually closer to Langkawi than Phuket. The one way trip saves nearly 190 sea miles, which means more time to savour the myriad of islands along the way where Thai and Malay culture and cuisine are at their very best.

Ten identical new Beneteau First 45 yachts will comprise the fleet for the 2011 Croatia Yacht Rally – still the most popular event on the calendar – a world first in cruising. 

A Food and Wine Extravaganza on the Canals of Burgundy
And not to be missed for food and wine buffs in June is the food and wine tour on the canals in Burgundy, France escorted by acknowledged wine maker Annie Knappstein.
