Chaparral Boats have had an outstanding response to its new range of sports boats at both the Sydney and Perth Boat shows in August.
Sydney boat buyers were so excited by the new range of Chaparral boats that 27 test drives were organized for the following weekend on the harbor. NSW dealer – Troy Higginbotham from National Marine Services was delighted with the results selling all of his stock and taking orders for 8 more boats to date.
“The two stand out boats for us were the big harbor cruising bow rider 244 Sunesta offering an inbuilt toilet, massive standard options list and lovely soft ride in all conditions. The other big mover was the 196 SSi which, under a lot of competition from the other brands, showed many buyers that you can have a quality, highly optioned small boat that is designed for saltwater use and still be competitive at entry level pricing”.
Perth Chaparral dealer - Offshore Marine had a similar situation, selling stock boats directly off the stand and taking orders for more. “We have always had a good following for the Chaparral brand in W.A”, says Geoff Ellis - principal at Offshore Marine. “What was interesting here is the mix of cruiser and bowrider sales, the 270 Cruiser was a stand out for us and the 196SSi – what a brilliant boat!”
